2025 has been an exciting year at Rachel’s Doggy Lodge. We have welcomed many new paws and grown our team. We also opened Rachel’s Doggy Field over the road so dogs can run play and explore in a safe private space. The field is perfect for lively pups and for dogs that prefer extra space.
We are building on this momentum through 2026 with fresh ideas and community events. Rachel’s Little Legs sessions are in the works and we will keep improving the lodge so every visit feels calm friendly and well cared for. Welcome to the family.

Morning Play:
9am – 12noon
Lunch & Rest:
12noon – 1pm

Rachel's Doggy Lodge was founded in 2005 born from a passion for caring for dogs in Braintree Essex.
By 2010 the lodge expanded to include a new grooming facility which broadened our services.
In 2015 the lodge was named Best Doggy Day Care in Essex which recognised our commitment to quality and care.
We achieved a 5 Star Rating under Animal Activity Licensing in 2019 which affirmed our high standards in pet care.
Our secure private doggy field at Hatches Farm is now open for exclusive sessions with safe fencing and easy parking.
A new programme of gentle sessions for small paws and young dogs is coming soon with calm play and confidence building.
