Our Safety and Wellbeing Guidelines

At Rachel's Doggy Lodge, we take pride in creating a safe and welcoming environment for all our furry guests. Our rules are designed not merely as restrictions but as measures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of your dog, other pets, and our staff.


Day Care:

    Social Behaviour:

  • Only well-behaved, socialised dogs are cared for. Dogs showing aggression will be asked not to return.
  • Neutering:

  • Male dogs over 8 months must be neutered.
  • Bitches in Season:

  • We cannot accommodate bitches in season.

 


    Vaccinations:

  • All dogs must be fully vaccinated. Proof required upon first visit.
  • Health Screening:

  • Dogs with serious health conditions or needing medication may not be suitable at this stage.
  • Pre-visit Meeting:

  • All owners and dogs must visit our facilities to assess compatibility.


Home Boarding:

    Behaviour andSocialisation:

  • Aggressive dogs cannot be accommodated.
  • Vaccinations and Health:

  • Complete vaccination is mandatory; the vaccination card must be kept with us during their stay.
  • Flea and Worm Treatment:

  • Regular treatments are required.

 



    Initial Assessment:

  • A pre-boarding visit is necessary to ensure your dog's suitability for our boarding environment.
  • Personal Items:

  • Owners must provide all food and bedding for their dog’s stay.
  • Medical and Behavioural:

  • Any medical or behavioural issues must be clearly communicated at the initial meeting.

Doggy Drop Offs & Collections


  • Morning drop offs: The gates will be open for morning drop offs between 7.30am (8.30am Saturday) – 9.30am
  • Morning session pick-ups: The gates will be open for morning session pick-ups between 12.00pm – 1.00pm
  • End of day pick-ups: The gates will be open for end of day pick-ups between 4.30pm – 6.30pm (5.30pm Saturday)

  • Shared access:

  • Please note due to shared access with other businesses the gates must be locked by 6.30pm. If these times are not suitable for you please inform a member of staff so we can arrange something for you.
